Downing Scholarship applications due April 12, 2024
The Frank Downing Leadership Award is presented to two individuals who show outstanding leadership skills, whether through school, church or community activities. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA or GED , be in good standing with the school, submit two letters of recommendation and plan to attend a College, University, Career or Technical school in the next 6 months. Awards will be selected no later than May 1 of each year.
Winners will be required to submit the name of proposed school with contact information for checks to be processed to the school. Individuals may only receive the Frank K. Downing Scholarship awards once. Scholarship is for Owen County Students only that are graduating in the current year. Two individual scholarships given, one for a student attending a typical College or University and one for a student attending a trade or vocational school.
